Location

Traverven Farm is the perfect location for exploring the West Cornish Valleys, Porthgwarra, Pendeen, Marazion, the Drift Reservoir and Hayle and is situated at the top of one of the most beautiful and unexplored valleys of them all.
We are only a few minutes walk from the coastal foot path. This can take you to the woods of St Loy and further onto Lamorna cove or in the other direction to the fishing cove of Penberth and and the beach at Porthcurno further on. This leads you to the wonderful open air Minack Theatre which nestles on the cliff above the beach. Performances can be seen from May to mid September.
Sennen and Gwenver beach are wonderful clean sandy beaches on the North coast, well known for superb surfing. Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance are a short drive away, with St Michael's Mount the jewel in the crown at Marazion and is well worth a visit. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about a 90 minute drive away.
Closer to home, there are many antiquities which are worth visiting. The nearest is Merry Maidens, an ancient stone circle, a mile away from the farm. Others in the area include Lanyon Quoit, Men-an-tol and Chysauster stone village all in a radius of ten miles.
The farmhouse sits near the campsite, run by Julian's parents, Hilary and Thornley Gwennap.
There is a shop on the site, providing all the holiday necessities you may need, with evening meals cooked fresh to order in the summer holidays.
